Terms of service
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using starniri.com (the "Site"), operated by RGifts Limited, trading as Starniri ("us", "we" or "our"). By visiting, browsing or buying from the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
These Terms may not be transferred or assigned by you, but may be assigned by us.
Acceptance of Terms and changes
Each time you use the Site, you agree to these Terms as updated from time to time. Our Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms.
Our service
The Site and our services are provided "as is". We may change or stop the Site or its services at any time.
Your responsibilities
You agree to give truthful information when asked. You must be at least 13 to use the Site, and if you are under 18 you must have a parent's or guardian's permission to buy from Starniri. You are responsible for keeping your account password confidential and must tell us straight away of any unauthorised use of your account.
Our products
Starniri sells personalised gifts, including name a star sets, sky map prints (A4, A3 and A2), necklaces, keyrings, wallet cards and candles. All products are made to order from the details you give us, so please check names, dates and wording carefully before ordering.
Shipping
Due to the nature of our processes, orders are generally processed within 12 working hours. If your order is not sent within this time, we will contact you with an update. Tracking numbers are sent as soon as they are available, after your order has been sent. Unless requested, deliveries are sent with no signature required. A signed for service may cost extra, depending on the shipping service. Full details are in our Delivery and Shipping Policy.
Refunds and exchanges
If any of our products are damaged in transit or not as shown on our site, we will accept returns and refund or replace the item. Please make requests within 2 days of receiving your item. You can return any item within 30 days of receiving it. Shipping costs are not refundable, and return shipping costs are the buyer's responsibility, unless the item is damaged, faulty or incorrect. Refunds are made once we have received the item back in its original condition. If you need to cancel an order, please email us straight away, and within 24 hours. Payment
All products remain our property until full payment is made. The price that applies is the one shown when you place your order. Shipping costs and payment fees are shown before you confirm your purchase. All prices are in GBP (£).
All payments are handled by third party payment gateways. We do not store card details, and all card information is sent with SSL encryption.
Local taxes
Local charges (sales tax, customs duty) may apply depending on your region. These charges are at the customer's expense.
Product warranty
Apart from the rights you have under UK consumer law, we do not give extra warranties for products sold on the Site. Some products may include a manufacturer's warranty.
Your conduct
You agree not to: provide content or behave in any way that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, defamatory, obscene or that interferes with the Site; impersonate any person; collect data about other users; use the Site for spam or unauthorised advertising; or provide content that infringes anyone's rights, including copyright and trade marks.
Content you send us
When you send us content (for example names, messages, photos, handwriting or drawings for personalisation, or reviews), you give us a worldwide, royalty free, non-exclusive licence to use it to make your order and, for reviews, to publish it. You confirm you have the right to give us this licence. We may refuse or remove any content at our discretion.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against any claim by a third party arising from your conduct on the Site, content you provide or your breach of these Terms.
Live chat
Where live chat is offered, it is provided to help visitors use the Site and to improve customer service. We do not accept liability for loss or damage caused by reliance on information given through live chat. Errors and omissions excepted.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profits, goodwill or data, arising from your use of the Site.
Mobile messages
By agreeing to our SMS service, you agree to receive recurring text messages from Starniri, including order updates and marketing such as basket reminders. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or get help by replying HELP or emailing support@star-name-registry.com.
Disputes
If you have a dispute with us, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally.
Intellectual property
We reserve all rights in the Site, its content and our products, including copyrights and trade marks. You may not use them commercially without our written consent. If you believe your intellectual property has been infringed, contact us using the details below.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
General
If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the rest remains in force. If we do not enforce a right, we have not waived it.
Disclaimer
Naming a star is a novelty gift and is for entertainment purposes only. No legal title is given or implied and names will not be scientifically recognised. We are not affiliated with any governmental or educational institution.
